The Deep Cavity Surgical Suturing Attachment was designed to simulate the challenges of suturing within a confined operative space, where instrument mobility, depth perception, and needle control become significantly more difficult.
Originally developed from experience practicing suturing in deep spine surgery exposures, this attachment helps users refine instrument positioning, needle handling, and proprioception when working below the surface rather than on an open, flat practice pad.
It is particularly useful for practicing with surgical loupes or under a surgical microscope and can help develop skills relevant to spine surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, and other procedures performed within narrow or deep operative corridors.
Practice skills such as:
Needle control in confined spaces
Instrument positioning and manipulation
Depth perception and proprioception
Simple interrupted and running sutures
The durable silicone insert is designed for repeated practice and progressive skill development.
