I weight each suture board with Steel Grit which is very dense and heavy. Unlike the typical practice boards that bounce or lift up when you practice, my board stays securely in place to let you practice most efficiently.
Each feature on the board is carefully thought out from my own experience as a resident in what skills I think would be most beneficial to the medical student and resident.
Key Features:
1) Suturing Irregular lacerations: Practice joining the edges of a jagged edge and star type laceration.
2) Basic suturing - Practice everything from a simple interrupted to a sub-cuticular suture on a very generously long straight laceration mimic.
3) Anastomosis - Practice joining two curved edges together (similar to what you'd do with an anastomosis)
4) A weighted Steel Grit filled base prevents the board from moving while mastering the art of suturing.
5) Compact! - only takes up 6in x 6in space
Each suture board is made by me. Please allow/expect about a 2 week ship time.
